About Me

I am a licensed clinical social worker with 20 years of experience working with people of all ages. I have worked with clients who are experiencing a variety of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, struggles with parenting, adjustment and career challenges and grief and loss. I also have experience working with people who have experienced trauma and abuse. My faith is an important aspect of who I am and an important aspect of my social work practice.
My counseling style is strengths based and client centered. I believe in treating everyone with respect and compassion. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy and task-centered therapy. Because we are interrelated and interdependent, I believe it’s also important to look at the systems that affect our lives. I assist clients to develop goals and put into action a means to meet those goals
Seeking therapy is a courageous step towards leading a happier and more fulfilling life. It takes strength to show vulnerability. It has always been my honor to have the trust of a client as they begin to see their own strength and resiliency and to feel empowered.
The Lord will fight for you. You only need be still. Exodus 14:14
I look forward to working with you.

Amy has been such a light in my life, and I really appreciate the role she's played! I've grown so much within the few months I've been working with her. She continually meets me where I'm at, speaks life into my circumstances, and gives me helpful tools and advice to help me in whatever's going on. I always look forward to meeting with her!
