My name is Angie, and I have over 13 years of experience working with and supporting individuals through a wide variety of struggles and challenges. I have worked for a number of years at a clinic of primarily Christian-based clinicians, and have provided faith-based counseling services for many years. I have a highly personal, relationally-based and yet straightforward approach, and I believe that the most effective change in created within a relationship that has been established in mutual respect and trust. I have years of experience working with individuals through issues of anxiety, depression, self-esteem issues, relational issues, family conflict, moving gracefully through major life transitions, grief and loss, addictions, parenting issues, faith issues and personal development and evaluation of beliefs, and managing overall life stressors. It is my belief that with the right support and a safe and stable place to grow and work honestly from in therapy, we are all capable of finding our most important truths and growing through the challenges to discover (and live!) our very best and most fulfilling lives. I have also found that working with a therapist who shares the same faith and faith-based understandings, can be a very powerful and important thing. I consider it a privilege to do this work each day, and to play a role in this beautiful, although often grueling, process of growth, change and self-discovery alongside such brave and capable people such as yourself!
It takes courage to reach out for the help that we all need, and it is a significant step that you have done so here today. I would love the chance to meet you, and to join your team in what is to come next. I see my role as to not only to hold some of the weight of what is being carried, but also to help problem solve as to what the best answers are for you at this time, to support you in the unique way that you need, and together move toward the healing and hope that you seek.
I look very much forward to working with you!
