About me
My name is Angeline Walker and I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) in the state of North Carolina. I have over 20 years of counseling and crisis intervention experience. Since starting in the field, I have worked with individuals ranging in age from 4 years old to 60 years old. However, most of my experience is working with individuals between the ages of 4 and 45. I have worked with clients with concerns that include depression, stress, anxiety, trauma, abuse, and relationship and self-esteem issues. I also have experience working with a wide range of diagnoses such as ; ADHD, Anxiety disorders, depression, and PTSD. My experience also involves working with individuals involved with the foster care, child welfare, and probation systems. I have several years experience working with individuals who have experienced poor academic performance, lack of motivation, suicidal ideations, self-harm, and abuse.
My counseling style is warm and interactive. I believe that everyone has a need to be heard without judgment. As a result, I practice active listening and treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. My approach combines cognitive behavior therapy, mindfulness, solution-focused, motivational interviewing, and client-centered counseling. I am a Christian who believes that the Bible is the Word of God. Therefore, I assist clients searching for a spiritual perspective during sessions, with working through issues, and establishing personal goals from a biblical and faith-based point of view. Our dialog and your treatment plan will be adapted to meet your unique and specific needs.
It takes an enormous amount of courage to recognize the need to pursue a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards change. If you are ready to take that step I am here to support and empower you. I look forward to providing you with support and motivation as you step into this new chapter of your life.

God Bless Angelina Walker. She was very kind and understanding when I desperately needed someone to listen. She was a lifeline when I was in a very dark place.
Angeline is amazing. She listens intently, responds to messages quickly, asks for updates about how I’m doing, and really understands what my goal is for counseling, and is more than willing to work through it with me. Five stars for sure :).
