About Me

Hello! I am excited that you have taken to opportunity to invest in yourself through seeking therapy through Faithful Counseling. Know that what you are doing now takes high levels of wisdom and courage and leads you further through your journey of life with Christ.

My name is Brandi and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC) in the state of Colorado. I have always had a passion for supporting and comforting others in their journey through life and have been able to take these passions and skills into my career. I graduated with an Bachelor's of Arts in Psychology from Stephen F. Austin State University (2009) and a Masters of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Denver Seminary (2016) and have been working in full-time clinical work since this time. I specialize in working with individuals struggling with depression, stress/anxiety, addiction, life stage adjustment, and relational issues.

Now that I have gotten my credentials out of the way, let me tell you about my approach to counseling and style within sessions. I am passionate about the fact that you are the expert on your own life. No one knows your story, your strengths, and your scars like you do and you are the driver for your own change. I have a warm counseling approach focused on getting to know your story and your authentic self and making observations regarding what I see and challenging you to grow. I believe that each moment in our life is pieced together to create a beautiful stained glass story which is illuminated in all of its glory when shared. I use tools from CBT, DBT ,and REBT in order to help stabilize emotions and challenge core beliefs and cognitive distortions which lead to shame.

I was raised in a Christian household and my faith in Jesus Christ will always in inform my philosophy of counseling. I believe that all humans were created and are loved by Christ. I take my calling and God given gifts in counseling seriously. I use 1 Peter 5: 1-4 and Hebrews 6:13-20 to inform my counseling approach. I believe that God has called me to shepherd his flock by serving them . I also believe that the hope of Jesus Christ is the anchor for all of our souls.

I am interested in your entire story and who you are as a human being. Whether that includes joy, sorrow, addiction, trauma, loneliness, or abundance, your story is important and it matters. I look forward to walking along side you!

I have made great progress with Brandi. She has helped me unpack and tackle a lot of hurts and ways I sabotage my relationships.

So far my counseling with Brandi has been great. I’m learning more about myself and how our minds work.
