Life can be difficult at times and I'm glad that you're taking the first step and reaching out for help. I'm Brooke and I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor. I hold a double BS degree in Psychology and Criminal Justice (Forensic Investigations), an MS degree in Psychology, and have completed extensive graduate work in Criminal Justice and Community Agency Counseling.
I've been in this field since 2003 and have worked in various settings with most all ages, backgrounds, and populations. I have experience working in an inpatient hospital, a day treatment program, a school system, a drug treatment facility, an outpatient clinic, a private practice, and with the Department of Human Resources. I use eclectic therapy, which is an approach that incorporates a variety of principles and philosophies in order to create the ideal treatment to meet your specific needs.
I am nonjudgmental, supportive, and interactive. I try to personalize the therapeutic experience in order to best address and respond to your needs. I don't discuss my faith in counseling, but if yours is something that's important to you and that you use as a coping skill, I am more than happy to discuss it with you. I want to understand your past and help you cope with the present so you can have a happy and fulfilling future. I look forward to working with you :)

At first I was a little skeptical about entering online counseling, however after beginning I completely have left behind my skepticism. I appreciate how Brooke listens or reads my messages and offers ways to overcome them. I feel I am making good progress, but am very satisfied with my experience so far.
Brooke Bowen has been kind and understanding and encouraging. She believes in me and tries to teach me ways to cope with my problems and learn how to live my life to the fullest. I'm so glad she is my counselor!
Brooke keeps in close touch. She remembers what we have discussed which means a lot to me. She offers information that is helpful to my needs.
Brooke has been very supportive from day one. She is very thoughtful and compassionate. I had a good experience with her in every session.
Brooke is very caring and attentive. From our first chat she made me feel comfortable enough to share and that is huge for me. I’ve never had a counselor to speak to before.
