I believe that healthy people seek counseling are taking time to honestly explore our thoughts and feelings about life. It is a respected tradition in virtually every culture and faith tradition. Counseling can be pursued not only to handle problems, but also to find more meaning in life, to live with more energy and zest and to increase the joy of being alive. Building a meaningful therapeutic relationship is at the heart of my approach. A healthy therapy relationship opens our eyes to experience life in new and growthful ways. The dominant traditions that inform my work are client based and CBT, positive psychology, and Art Therapy.
