About me

I have been a professional counselor for over 27 years working in a variety of settings with a variety of people. Starting with a National Employee Assistance program I worked as a counselor and crisis management professional with over 60 companies, several of which were religiously based . I worked with employees of Catholic, Protestant and Jewish based organizations as well as those that were non-religiously based. As a practicing Catholic from a mixed Christian/Jewish family of origin I always relish the opportunity to bring my spiritual background more into sessions than I would in those non sectarian situations. Being able to speak with a client from their own specific religious orientation can provide a deeper and richer level of empathy, thus enriching the content of the session and the ability to obtain desired resolutions to issues.
Working directly with survivors of the 9-11 attacks on the Pentagon, the Anthrax Attack a week later and the DC sniper of 2002 challenged my religious foundations greatly and they were further challenged during my 9 years of working as an embedded military counselor around the country helping soldiers and their families cope with all of the stresses of war. My ability to resolve these challenges of faith through my christian conscience has provided me a greater level of empathy with my religious clients than I had before experiencing the complications that life can throw at all of us from time to time. I look forward to the opportunity to work with you as God has prepared me for.

I’ve been speaking with Mr. Craig for almost 5 yrs now, and he has been extremely valuable in helping me navigate through some challenging times in my life. He is easy to talk to, is an amazing listener, and the advice that he gives is easy to comprehend and put into practice. I highly recommend him!

Craig Kalman is by far the best counselor that I have ever had the pleasure of working with and that's saying a lot, as this wasn't my first rodeo in sixty six years of life. While maintaining a superior level of professionalism he provided the comfort level of talking to a best friend and the freedom for the Holy Spirit to lead. For once I was able to purge and resolve life long issues that had plagued me and had been known only by myself, others involved and God. Craig inspired and helped position me spiritually that I was able to be receptive to God's healing of old wounds and wrongful thinking. My only regret is that I had not known of Faithful Counseling and Craig Kalman earlier in life, but then again it's all in Gods timing, isn't it. I was referred by a good friend at church, so let me be a good friend and recommend Crag Kalman and Faithful Counseling.

Craig has been my day to day guardian. I have been depressed so long that I thought I was going to lose myself but he is helping me though. I cannot appreciate him any much, thank you so much Craig as you help me through.
