I have been a professional counselor for over 27 years working in a variety of settings with a variety of people. Starting with a National Employee Assistance program I worked as a counselor and crisis management professional with over 60 companies, several of which were religiously based . I worked with employees of Catholic, Protestant and Jewish based organizations as well as those that were non-religiously based. As a practicing Catholic from a mixed Christian/Jewish family of origin I always relish the opportunity to bring my spiritual background more into sessions than I would in those non sectarian situations. Being able to speak with a client from their own specific religious orientation can provide a deeper and richer level of empathy, thus enriching the content of the session and the ability to obtain desired resolutions to issues.
Working directly with survivors of the 9-11 attacks on the Pentagon, the Anthrax Attack a week later and the DC sniper of 2002 challenged my religious foundations greatly and they were further challenged during my 9 years of working as an embedded military counselor around the country helping soldiers and their families cope with all of the stresses of war. My ability to resolve these challenges of faith through my christian conscience has provided me a greater level of empathy with my religious clients than I had before experiencing the complications that life can throw at all of us from time to time. I look forward to the opportunity to work with you as God has prepared me for.

Craig is a great guy. He really cares and has loads of knowledge from his life experience. I’ve enjoyed working with Craig and he has helped me get myself focused and ready to take on life. I would recommend him to anyone because he’s not just a counselor but a friend.
Craig has been a great ear to listen for me, and also someone who creates an amazing, positive session each time we talk.
Craig has the knowledge of the ages. He has given me so many tools to help me with my anxiety. Before I used to breakdown or lash out on a weekly basis and now I’m a totally different person. Sure life is hard and I may stumble, but Craig is always there to show me how much progress I have made and how I respond to stress in a whole new way now. He helped me become a person that I love.
Everything is going great so far, Craig is wonderful and a great fit for me, very helpful
Craig is kind. He makes sure to check on me and remind me that he’s there if I need him.
Craig’s decades of life experience combined with his profound ability to empathize makes him a wonderful counselor for anyone needing extra support. He would be an asset to anyone who is lucky enough to work with him.
Craig has been very supportive in achieving my goals helping me get back on track to where I need to be and the direction I should go. He is a great and helpful counselor.
Craig was easy to talk to and a great listener which is what I really needed. I’d highly recommend Craig to anyone struggling with the demands or life.
Craig has been my day to day guardian. I have been depressed so long that I thought I was going to lose myself but he is helping me though. I cannot appreciate him any much, thank you so much Craig as you help me through.
Craig has proven to be a well-qualified counselor and confidante. He is able to conduct our sessions with humor and personality while keeping us on track with the goals established for the session. I highly recommend Mr. Kalman for his expertise and his excellent spirit.
