Daniel Schroeder

About Me

I am a licensed mental health counselor but also have a license in substance abuse disorders. In time as a counselor I have worked with a broad client base, including people struggling with major depressive disorder, bi-polar disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, relationship conflicts both professional and personal, family problems, and substance abuse disorders. I have been greatly honored to walk with some very brave and inspiring people and look forward to working to more people who are ready to make real changes to their lives.

My approach looks to first establish an environment of unconditional positive regard in which the people feel safe to bring to the surface the realest parts of their lives and make meaning out their struggles. I do this by combining cognitive behavioral theories, emotion focused treatment, and mindfulness, however, each person I connect with will have a personalized approach that will help them find the places in his/her life that can bring about a better quality of living. In my time as a counselor I have been able to see how many of the founding principals of biblical teaching are congruent with what we have been learning about the healthy human psyche. My hope is to help people recognize how they may be able to re-balance their lives and be more successful with living out their true calling.
