About me

Hello! My name is Hannah. I am a LCSW at a wonderful psychiatry clinic in Kansas City, MO. I have had the honor to meet and work with the most amazing individuals in my 9 years in this profession! I value respect, education, empathy, kindness, HUMOR and confidentiality. I practice a mix of trauma informed care, psychotherapy, motivational interviewing, DBT, CBT and simple talk therapy. I have many eclectic professional experiences such as rural mental health, domestic violence, inner city oncology social work, facilitating IOP groups, grief and loss support groups as well as coaching parents and couples on how to improve their relationships. I have a passion for working with survivors of trauma (death, abuse, abandonment, neglect, divorce, job loss, illness etc..). Lastly, I have been successful working with those diagnosed with borderline personality disorder, bipolar disorder, major depressive disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, panic disorder and PTSD. I look forward to our journey together!

Hannah was so knowledgeable about things I had never heard of related to my condition and made me feel more comfortable and relaxed than any therapist I’ve had

I’ve only been meeting with Hannah for a bit, but I already know I couldn’t have received a better match. Hannah is the best. She always listens to me, she doesn’t mind my accidental interruptions, and she makes sure she’s helping me to become a better person every session. She also takes the time out to read my extremely long messages, and replies timely. I couldn’t have received anyone better suited for me!

Hannah is good at explaining the 5 stages of grief. She is good at listening to my concerns about the issues I am getting counseling for. She always makes me feel comfortable/safe to share with her about the issues for which I am getting counseling for. She tells me we grieve because we love and that makes me feel like it's O.K. to grieve over losing my husband.
