About Me

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with more than 5 years of clinical experience in a variety of settings including inpatient, community treatment, and most recently Telehealth. I have experience working with clients who present with mood disorders including depression and Bipolar Disorder, as well as anxiety. I also have experience working with clients who have experienced a variety of trauma's which has impacted their ability to function as they would like to.

I tend to practice from a trauma informed and Cognitive Behavioral models of therapy, I am warm and work with my clients to define their goals for therapy, as well as the obstacles which inhibit them from achieving those goals. I believe in approaching all my clients with respect and from a place of non-judgement. I am a person of faith, and will incorporate your faith in treatment when it seems appropriate. I believe in treating all people with empathy and compassion.

I know that asking for help is one of the hardest steps most people can take, so I am proud of you for reaching out. I am honored to be a part of your journey to health and wellness. I look forward to working with you.

Heather is a very good listener and doesn't rush to make quick judgments or responses but waits patiently to gain a deeper understanding of the dynamics being discussed. Her warm manner has really helped us feel free to discuss things just as they are, bringing better self-understanding and real improvements in our relationship.
