About me

I am licensed in the State of Arizona with 15 years of professional work experience. I specialize in helping clients with stress and anxiety, trauma recovery, and coping with life changes. I believe in providing a safe, Christ-Centered environment for healing and wholeness. Our sessions and treatment plan are customized to meet your unique and specific needs. I embrace a holistic body-mind-spirit approach to therapy and utilize the following treatment modalities: Nervous System Regulation, Strength-Based Therapy, Somatic Experiencing, Breath Work, Emotional Freedom Technique, Bilateral Stimulation, Christ-Centered Yoga, Christ-Centered Trauma Recovery, and Feedback Informed Therapy.

Taking the first step to seeking a more peaceful and fulfilling life takes courage. I am here to effectively support you in that process. I believe we all are on a healing journey. There are times in our lives when we need some extra support and guidance for what is showing up. There is no trigger or trauma too big or small to safely process and bring into wholeness. The transforming power of Jesus and the Holy Spirit in my own life, combined with the experience I have gained through my healing journey from childhood trauma, encourages and empowers me to offer a safe space to facilitate healing and wellness for others.

I received a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and Sociology from Grand Canyon University in 1992. While working full-time as a Social Worker, and completing two internships, I earned my Master of Social Work degree from Arizona State University in 1997. After two years of clinical supervision I became a Certified Independent Social Worker in 2000, which converted to Licensed Clinical Social Worker in 2004. Furthermore, I am a Certified Clinical Trauma Specialist–Individual (CCTSI) through Trauma Institute International. My personal relationship with Jesus Christ, the truth of the Bible, and the empowering of the Holy Spirit guide everything I am and do.

I love Heather! Her wholistic approach really helps me feel grounded. I feel very comfortable talking to her and I love that she’ll reach out occasionally to send supportive messages throughout the week to encourage you in your goals. I was very clear in our first session that I wanted faith based counseling and she’s great at incorporating the Lord into our time together. She opens and closes each session with prayer, quotes scripture, and has sent me highlights from her personal devotions that she thinks would help encourage me through the message feature. I really feel like Heather cares about me and just wants to help me grow into the person God meant for me to be.

Work with me!
