Questions about faith, our place in the world and how to prepare for heaven can be overwhelming. Raised as a Catholic, I have served in the Rites of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) classes for many years. I have served in most every ministry available in our Church. My main ministry has been the Pastoral Ministry, where I have led Grief and Loss groups, designed classes on Catholic Funeral Rites and ministered to the bereaved. In addition, I offer counseling services in my community through Catholic Charities.
Faith is the most significant part of life. We base decisions, find our solace and worship from the heart of faith.
If you are seeking direction in your faith, want to research a particular religious topic or just want to discover more about your own beliefs, give me a call. If you want counseling to be faith-driven just let me know and we can follow that path.
I am a veteran, an MFLC (Military Family Life Counselor) and have extensive experience with military, military families and first-responders.
My father was a life-long Army soldier (30+years) and I followed his footsteps by joining the US Army Reserves as a medic. Later, I was a Navy and Army spouse. I followed my husband to different parts of the world with our three children. As a Licensed Professional Counselor I could not have a typical career because of military assignments but, I have a spectacular career.
I have been a Head Start Director, a third grade teacher, a high school counselor, a university teacher, a Perpetrator Treatment Provider for adjudicated offenders, a counselor in a halfway house, a principal of an elementary school, washed dishes in a restaurant, provided parenting classes, taught self-esteem classes for moms, worked with couples in marriage counseling, counseled military, counseled grief and loss, provided group counseling, facilitated family counseling, worked with PTSD and trauma clients, counseled LGBT clients, and worked with clients that had stress and anxiety.
All the while, I continue to train and educate myself in these areas to offer quality professionalism.
As the years have passed, I have streamlined my professional training and services to a few areas; PTSD, Trauma, Grief and Loss, Couples and Relationships, Stress and Anxiety. I have worked with military and first-responders (Police, EMT). I have trained with the Navy and the Marines in San Diego for Combat Operational Stress Certification and worked directly as a Military Family Life Counselor, assigned overseas.
I am a National Board Certified Counselor and obtained a certification as a Distance Certified Counselor to offer online counseling (Tele-Health) as well as in-person counseling and have extensive (20+ years) experience to work with you.
Through our work together, we will build a strong foundation; one that will keep you balanced and able to lead a full and satisfying life. If you, or your partner are suffering, you are NOT alone and there IS help.
I believe in resiliency, the strength that each of us carries to persevere in the worst of situations. I specialize and am certified in Choice Theory and Reality Therapy and EMDR to help those with PTSD, Trauma, grief/loss, and relationship issues work through their difficulties and prosper. Eternal, Holy God,
I come to You burdened with worries, fears, doubts and troubles.
Calm and quiet me with peace of mind.
Empty me of the anxiety that disturbs me, of the concerns that weary my spirit, and weigh heavy on my heart.
Loosen my grip on the disappointments and grievances that I hold on to so tightly.
Release me from the pain of past hurts, of present anger and tension, of future fears.
Sometimes it’s too much for me Lord; too many demands and problems, too much sadness, suffering, and stress.
Renew me spiritually and emotionally. Give me new strength, hope, and confidence. Prepare me to meet the constant struggles of daily life with a deeper faith and trust in You.
Let Your love set me free; for peace, for joy, for grace, for life, for others, forever…

Looking forward to my second session with Dr. Morgan today!
I love Dr. Morgan. She is patient, kind and very wise. She is easy to talk to and has great resources. I am ever so thankful for her.
Dr. Morgan listens well but most importantly is not afraid to recommend other helpful tools for me to try (books, relaxation techniques, breathing exercises). She is also not afraid to talk about her faith with me and I appreciate that greatly. She is also very uplifting and encouraging.
I feel like my conversation with her made me feel like there is hope.
Dr. Morgan is great. she understands me and is providing me with suggestions and great information to help me get better.
Dr. Morgan is patient and offers assistance without it being too assertive. She has helped me find my own space to control my narrative and my own therapy. For me finding my voice has been the hardest part of talking with someone, and her approach has afforded me the confidence and trust to express myself.
Dr. Morgan is such a caring and kind counselor. I definitely recommend her. She gave me tools to combat my issues and she is not afraid to tackle it with me no matter what. I thank God for her. She's a God send!
