I believe that healthy people seek healing for their mind, body, and soul. I believe counseling is one of those ways to take the time to honestly explore our thoughts and feelings about life, seek healing, and align with our purpose. It is a respected tradition in virtually every culture and faith tradition. Counseling can be pursued not only to handle problems, but also to find more meaning in life, to live with more energy and zest and to increase the joy of being alive and appreciating life's blessings, even in the midst of problems. Building a meaningful therapeutic relationship is at the heart of my approach. A healthy therapy relationship opens our eyes to experience life in new and purposeful ways that bring about hope and growth. My counseling style is warm, authentic, and collaborative. I believe in treating everyone with respect, compassion, generosity, and meeting them where they are without stigmatizing labels. I believe that everyone knows what is needed for themselves and I aim to walk alongside you in identifying those needs and goals and supporting and holding you accountable to meeting the goals you set. I have a trauma-informed, strengths-based, and eclectic approach which combines many treatment approaches such as CBT, using Art and Creativity, and tailoring our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs.
