I am a Clinical Professional Counselor, licensed in Nevada. I specialize in trauma and abuse recovery, anxiety, depression, and anger management. Additionally, I am skilled in helping individuals who are struggling with relationship issues, work/employment issues, chronic physical health issues, aging-related problems, and faith-based needs.
I use a “person-centered” approach, meaning I see my clients as whole beings that already hold the answers they need. It is my job to help my clients discover their answers and make choices they believe will be best for them. It is my belief that I can only accomplish that by first meeting my clients exactly where they are, with no judgement. I am deeply honored to be in a position of helping to hold my clients’ pain while creating a safe place for my clients to explore their needs, shed old labels, heal old wounds, and create new paths.
I began my journey as a Life Coach in 2000, where I focused on helping people with goal mapping, professional and personal goal setting, workplace conflict resolution, and work/life balance. I deeply enjoyed this work, and wanted to do more, on a higher level. I returned to school after raising my children so I could focus on obtaining my degrees in counseling related programs. I achieved a Bachelor’s degree in Human Services Management, and followed that with completing my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Additionally, I hold certifications in trauma-based counseling therapy approaches as well as faith-based counseling.
I have enjoyed serving my church in various roles including teaching classes on boundaries, choosing to forgive, anger management, and biblical care coach training. I have led trauma recovery groups, substance abuse recovery groups, and faith based growth groups. I have served as a Church Counselor and as a Biblical Care Coach at my homechurch for ten years. Additionally, I have been honored to serve as a Church Counselor Supervisor and a Biblical Care Coach Supervisor.
In my spare time, I enjoy bible studies and serving on local and global mission teams. I have had the incredible blessing of serving and loving on people in my local homeless population as well as people in poor, war-torn, or disaster-ravaged communities in Mexico, Nicaragua, and Sri Lanka. In my downtime, I enjoy relaxing and cuddling with my "furry kids" (a dog and two cats), trips to the beach to be soothed by the sound of the waves while reading a good book, and spending time with my grandkids.
I look forward to partnering with you in your healing or growth journey!

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Krista Lacroix. We don’t pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with Faithful Counseling might be different.
Krista is very attentive and empathetic. She takes the time to get to know you, meet you where you’re at, genuinely empathize, and help you understand biblical and psychologically proven ways to navigate your thoughts, actions and emotions to address and resolve what’s going on at your core. I went through a few therapists trying to find one that made me feel fully comfortable and heard, and I’m glad I did because I found Krista.
Wow. Krista is amazing. She is helping me set healthy boundaries.
My counselor, Krista Lacroix, (CPC,MA) has been such an effective counselor for me. She is quick to respond to my messages, communicates well with me , gives me plenty of media to help me learn to change my behaviors to be more positive. She is very knowledgeable, I would definitely recommend her.
