Throughout life it is expected for one to experience some form of discomfort, stress or trial. However, it is how we respond to those circumstances when they occur that ultimately determine the lasting effect it will have in us and our lives. It is my privilege to walk with you as you go through your journey while instilling hope and optimism in a safe, nonjudgmental, and supportive environment while facilitating healing, positive change and personal growth.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas with over 8 years of experience working as a therapist. I am Certified in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and utilize Faith Based Therapy (when requested) but my treatment approach is eclectic in nature. I, personally, accepted Christ as my personal Lord and Savior in my 20's. I was experiencing some turbulent times and had a friend that invited me to her church. I became rooted and the love of God began to transform my heart and mind. It is my desire, thru counseling, to help as many people as I can find out who they are in Christ, see themselves thru His eyes and become the people that He has created them to be while fulfilling their purpose in Him. As a therapist, I understand that each individuals needs may require various techniques from different treatment modalities and the importance of ensuring that every effort to accommodate each client is made. I work with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting problems, self-esteem, intimacy and women's issues while including spirituality, if desired. As believer's, it is imperative that we look at our lives from Christ's perspective and actively work on incorporating His word into every area of our lives, daily. In order for counseling to be successful, you must be willing to work towards your goals, be open and honest and willing to make changes necessary to reach you goals. Together, we will slowly explore your life circumstances and what the word of God says, while you practice applying what you are given and led to by the Holy Spirit. I also help many people who have experienced physical trauma, sexual abuse and/or emotional abuse.
As a therapist, I would describe myself as empathetic, non-judgmental, direct, honest, and practical. I offer my clients my genuine concern and empathy, combined with my direct thoughts, insights, and recommendations. I can offer you a safe place to sort through what is on your mind and heart. Many people carry a heavy load emotionally and fear letting their guard down with others. One of the benefits of therapy is that I am not in your every day life. I am not here to judge you. I can help you cut through the noise and get to the root of what is truly troubling you and I can walk you through the steps necessary to bring about the change you desire to see in your life.
It is my goal to help you regain the focus necessary to be successful in your lives. I look forward to doing life with you!

LaDonna has helped me tremendously to get through a tough time in my life. She is timely, responsive, positive, uplifting, and knowledgeable. I am blessed to have had her assistance. I highly recommend her!
LaDonna was excellent and has forever helped me to change my marriage. She aided me to change my mindset and perspective on how I viewed my husband. Due to these changes, I saw a dramatic change in my husband in just a matter of days. I had no idea how much negativity I was harboring until she helped me to seek out ways the good things my husband did and thank him for it. After I did this he began to change on his own and I saw the wonderful man that I remembered him being years ago. My only regret is not contacting her sooner!
