About me

Hi! My name is Lindsay and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) licensed in Missouri with over 10 years of experience working as a mental health counselor. I have had the opportunity to work with clients with varied presenting issues such as anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and trauma. I absolutely love what I do.

Originally from Arkansas, I moved to Missouri during the summer of 2009 to obtain my masters in Counseling. I received my undergraduate degree at John Brown University in Siloam Springs, AR, and my masters degree at the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary in Springfield, MO.

Seeking counseling can sometimes be a little scary. It is normal to feel that way. I want to tell you that I am proud that you are here and have made this step. I believe that you are the expert on your own life, and I see my role as coming alongside you to help you develop tools , and work through feelings and thoughts, in order to help you feel better, and experience wellness in your mental health. My counseling approach is eclectic but combines cognitive-behavioral, person-centered, solution-focused, and existential counseling theories. The bottom line is, I care about you and look forward to tailoring my approach to your specific needs.

Outside of my work as a therapist, I teach psychology. I also enjoy playing music, cooking, spending time with my husband and puppy (Coco), and running!

Lindsay is an excellent counselor. She listens like a good friend, and helps me think through things in ways I wouldn’t have on my own. She’s insightful, kind, compassionate, and very encouraging.

Lindsay is a great counselor. She is warm and encouraging. She takes the time to listen well to what I'm saying and really challenges me in the right ways when I need it. I have been very happy with this counseling relationship and grateful for her insight and encouragement.

I would highly recommend Lindsay. I was matched with her and she got back with me even though it was on a weekend. I think she could sense the desperation in my messages. I can honestly say I’m not sure I would have made it these last few months without her counsel. I really appreciate her.
