My name is Lynnette and I applaud you for beginning this journey we call therapy. Whether you’re new to the therapy experience or you’ve been in therapy before, I am here to help you along your journey to wellness and wholeness. I have a Master’s in Social Work from the University of Chicago and 30+ years’ experience. I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) and have engaged individuals, couples, and families in a variety of settings addressing issues such as depression, anxiety, trauma, grief and loss, interpersonal and family conflict as well as parent-child relationships. I have also helped clients improve self-esteem, coping skills, adjust to major life changes as well as improve problem-solving and decision-making skills. Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy and Motivational Interviewing are the primary approaches utilized and clients are encouraged to actively participate in the therapy process by setting their own goals and evaluating progress towards achieving them. Finally, I am always concerned about all aspects of a client’s life therefore nothing is “off-limits” during therapy, including spirituality. I am a born-again Christian and believe that God has anointed me to help clients based on I Thessalonians 5:23-24 which says “May God himself, the God who makes everything holy and whole, make you holy and whole, put you together—spirit, soul, and body—and keep you fit for the coming of our Master, Jesus Christ. The One who called you is completely dependable. If he said it, he’ll do it!” Thank you for allowing me to share my background with you. I have daytime, evening, and weekend hours to meet your needs and look forward to working with you!

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Lynnette Thomas. We don’t pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with Faithful Counseling might be different.
I accidentally push the wrong answer for one of the questions . Lynette is a very, very good counselor and I have been able to work through so challenges with the tools she’s giving me. I highly recommend her and I’ve recommend Faithfulcounseling to several others.
Lynnette is so friendly and made me feel comfortable opening up pretty fast. I haven't had the best experience with therapy in the past so it's nice to talk to someone who really cares about what you are saying and is also knowledgeable and polite. She has been great with scheduling and always on time to our sessions. She makes therapy feel like talking to a friend while also being professional.
I did not have much time with her but the session I had was fulfilling and I really felt like she was listening to me.
