About Me

I began my work years ago working for a non-profit Counseling organization. Many of my clients came because, sadly, they felt misunderstood by their church. I'm open-minded and non-judgmental about the unique needs of Christians. I then worked at County Mental Health and have a heart for those who are challenged by mental health issues including anxiety and depression. My next decade of work was at Hospice as a grief counselor. I specialized in helping families and individuals whose loved ones took their own life. At that secular location, I was not able to freely express faith beliefs, but I usually found those who believed the same and was therefore able to comfort them. I authored a book that gives hope through the grief journey. Recently I found a wonderful church home and am involved in the Grief Share ministry.
My approach is Cognitive-Behavioral which means changing your thoughts and behaviors that do not serve you.
"As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he." Proverbs 23:7
I'd love to work with you in whatever manner you are comfortable - message, email, video, or phone. I prefer daytime weekdays or weekends.
