Nicholas Frye

About Me

"And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth" (John 1:14).

As Christ is our example for living, He is also my guide as a counselor. My counseling style is one of love, compassion, kindness, and mercy as well as an honest and fearless look at what isn't working in your life and what can be done.

I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in the state of Maryland, a National Certified Counselor, and Certified Health Education Specialist. I have a BA in Psychology from West Virginia University, a MS in Counseling Psychology from Loyola University Maryland, and a MS in Health Promotion from Maryland University of Integrative Health. In addition to being a therapist, I am also a dedicated mental health advocate, stigma fighter, and public speaker. I utilize an eclectic array of treatment approaches including Client-centered Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, and Interpersonal Therapy integrated into and informed by my Christian worldview.

My walk with the Lord is one of trial and triumph, sin and repentance, pain and joy; perhaps yours is as well. I pray that we get a chance to walk together on this journey as I would feel blessed to help you with whatever challenges you face.

Mr. Frye has been very kind-hearted and understanding and is helping me to progress. I greatly appreciate his diligence in following up with me, his prayers for me, and the scripture-based perspectives that he is sharing with me. I'm eternally grateful and I look forward to our next session together.
