Pam Rowell

About Me

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas with 5 years of experience working with individuals, couples, and families. The issues I have worked with include addiction and recovery counseling, anger management, PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome), depression, anxiety, ADHD, OCD, grief and loss, career challenges, and relationship issues just to name a few.

My counseling style is warm, empathetic and direct. I believe in empowerment and self-confidence and treat everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. I don't believe in labeling and I am determined to be unbiased and objective so as to meet you right where you are. My approach to counseling combines different theories and styles and so is eclectic. Some of the styles I incorporate include Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Reality Therapy, rational-emotive Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy and motivational interviewing, but I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs. I promote your faith and the importance of God in our sessions.

As a Christian myself, I understand how important faith is in your daily life and that seeking God's will is very important in understanding our problems and facing trials and other situations that arise in our lives that seem overwhelming and more than we can bear. It's in those times that reaching out for Godly wisdom and counsel is important. Based on your faith, I will walk with you to encourage and empower you in using your faith to find the answers to the problems that seem overwhelming to you. It is my goal to build your faith and find belief in your ability to trust God to work out His will in your life as we work together to find the right solutions for you.

I look forward to working with you,
Pamela G. Rowell, LPC

Pamela is very caring, straight forward and knowledgeable. But her focus on Holy Spirit and openness to how the Father is leading makes her uniquely qualified.

I love Pamela. She’s very forthright, down to earth, and realistic with her advice. I find this approach to be very helpful! She’s also very caring and sweet. Each time we’ve chatted over video, she makes me feel seen and heard. Sometimes, that’s all we really need.
