About Me

I was raised in the church from the time I was a child, but over the years I found my own reasons to continue following Christ. I’ve been through some trials and tribulations, and I am able to see how God has held me close through it all. The relationship that I have with God is something I hope for each and every person. Religion is not the following of the law, but returning to the relationship with God. My hope in Christian therapy is to help each person find their individual relationship with God. One of my favorite scriptures is from Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

I am a licensed marriage and family therapist in the state of New Mexico where I have six years of experience addressing issues such as depression, anxiety, relational and parenting problems, And life transitions. I believe that each person should be treated with respect and I enjoy using humor sensitivity and compassion not only with clients but in daily life as well. My fridge can best be described as a buffet style of CBT, strategic, solutions focused, and experiential. Each of these can be tailored to what the client is needing at any given moment.

Sandi has been helpful in addressing my concerns and helping implement strategies to overcome issues I have been facing. We have dug down and found the 'root cause' of problems rather than just addressing my initial concerns which I have found extremely beneficial! Thank you!

Sandy has been an excellent resource in helping me overcome anxiety. She is compassionate but direct, and it feels like talking to a friend sometimes. She also makes me feel empowered and brave. I'd recommend her to anyone!

I am a type of person that can better say how I feel on paper. This has been beneficial for me especially in that way alone. Sandi is very caring and truly wants to help you to be the best version of yourself. I recommend her fully. I am a complete mess, and I feel like she is chipping away at the old me to create the new me. We have a long road ahead of us, but I'm ready for that journey and have been for quite some time. Thank you Sandi!
