I have been a practicing Licensed Professional Counselor in Michigan since 2006. Along with my Masters of Arts degree in Counseling Ministries from Grand Rapids Theological Seminary, I have also earned a Master of Divinity degree from Asbury Theological Seminary. In my work with children, adolescents and adults, I have walked through relationship issues, parenting problems, life changes, depression and anxiety. I have also helped many who have experienced trauma, abuse and grief.
My counseling style is focused on helping those I work with to define their goals and then walk with them as they discover their full potential. I am experienced using Christian truths along with a modern understanding of psychology to help those who are hurting. My approach is a person-centered; utilizing cognitive behavioral and motivational interviewing approaches. I will work with you to develop a practical, effective treatment plan to meet your needs.
Personal and spiritual growth can be difficult and uncomfortable – but it is in the difficult times in your life that you encounter the person you are designed to be.
I look forward to walking with you.

Steve is an incredible counselor. He truly meets his clients' needs and walks alongside them in the journey of healing. We've had discussions as high level as the theology of suffering and as minor as my mom annoying me. I'm really thankful this platform connected us.
I have really appreciated Steve's attentiveness to my concerns. I can tell he truly cares about his clients and what they type in their messages. I'm very happy with my sessions thus far.
Steve has provided me with sound biblical advice. He is compassionate and has presented me with guidance that allows for self reflection and healing.
