I am a clinical social worker licensed in Maryland with over 10 years of experience working as a therapist and substance abuse treatment counselor. I have worked with clients having a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting problems, career challenges, OCD and ADHD. I have also helped many people who have experienced physical trauma or emotional abuse.
My counseling style is warm and interactive. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic, and brief/solution-focused counseling. In addition, I'm also a Christian counselor who is experienced with integrating faith, Biblical principles, and practical counseling methods to aid in the recovery process. It is my belief that prayer and scripture are essential tools that can assist the Christian believer in decision-making as well as promote healing from past experiences that have been traumatic and long-lasting. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs.
It takes courage to seek for a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. If you are ready to take that step, I am here to support and empower you.
I look forward to working with you!

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Dr. Veronica Smith. We don’t pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with Faithful Counseling might be different.
she is there when I need her. She shares with me resources I need to calm myself and songs to uplift me. She also goes out of her way to send me articles and websites that would help me to solve problems like: diet, financial, and health.
She even prays with me. I am blessed to have her.
I have only had two sessions with Dr. Smith so far, but she has proved to be a loving, empathetic, and caring therapist. She balances perfectly love and truth. Everything she says is completely full of truth but delivered in grace and in love. I am already so thankful for being able to connect with her as my therapist and be guided by her in this process.
