About Me

I began working with children and youth in 1986 and continued until 2003. As indicated on my resume, I returned to working with a client base providing therapy to the children, and adult population in 2013 at an outpatient facility. Presently, I am employed in the prison system where I have worked with the adult population. As a therapist, I use a caring and supportive style with my clients believing that they are coming because they need assistance in being able to function and cope with the stress impacting their lives.
My treatment approach is one of understanding and not being judgmental. I understand that the client's self-determination is most significant in the counseling relationship. I believe that the client is the most important person in the session and hence in order to help, I need to listen to them rather than to tell each what to do.
I also have a Master of Divinity and sees all as important in Divine plan for man.

I made a connection with Washington during our first session I knew right away he was the kind of compassionate caring therapist that I was looking for I love that our sessions are Christ centered and that he understands my faith is an important integral part of my life it’s not a piece of my life but it’s part of who I am and I know he’s always listening and thinking and asking good questions to help me deep in my own thoughts and beliefs and to help me move forward in my every day life I’m very thankful that I had filled out the form on the website and that I was matched with Washington God is good
