Hello & Welcome to Faithful Counseling!
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Distance Credentialed Counselor who graduated from the University of Indianapolis with degrees in Psychology and Social Work. I went on to complete my master's degree in Social Work from Indiana University. I am a Non-Denominational Christian who loves to incorporate my faith in Jesus Christ into the counseling experience. I have over 15 years of experience working with individuals, couples, families, and children. In addition to my work in a private practice environment, I am also actively involved in continuing education and higher education. As an adjunct faculty member and internship supervisor, I am able to train and assist Master of Social Work and Master of Counseling students at Indiana University, Butler University, and the University of Indianapolis. This allows me to remain well-versed in research surrounding counseling theory. I also have extensive social work research experience, and I have enjoyed the opportunity to publish and present this research in textbooks, journals, and at national conferences.
My personal counseling style and approach is very conversational, empathic, non-judgmental, compassionate and individualized. I endeavor to establish a quick but strong rapport with you in order for trust and progress to be made. I utilize a variety of theoretical perspectives depending upon your needs and counseling expectations. I most often rely upon Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solutions-Based Therapy, and Mindfulness to assist my clients in making progress toward their goal(s). I incorporate devotionals, scripture, and prayer into our sessions to help you meet your counseling goals.
With a good rapport and regular interaction, I strongly believe that you can make progress in the counseling process. I maintain "office hours" for my BetterHelp clients. I pride myself on responding to email messages within 24 hours to maintain consistency and availability to my clients.
We all need help and support at different times in our lives, and it takes courage to begin this process. I would be honored to walk through this journey with you.
I look forward to working with you soon!

She is very kind and helpful.
Wendy is great and I have recommended her to anyone going through issues with PTSD or certain traumas within families.
Wendy is very intuitive in her ability to problem solve and offer advice. She seemed to understand my problems as though she had known me forever. I did not in any way feel judged. Wendy is very kind and i appreciate her willingness to pray for me, and offer Godly, faith based advice. I would recommend her to anyone and everyone. Thank you for all of your help, Wendy.
Wendy is very helpful and a great listener. She replies in a timely manner and with much wisdom. I am so thankful for her advice and help!
Wendy has been very helpful with my situation. I really appreciate the questions she asks, as it really makes me think about things and dig deep to figure out the true motivation of of my actions. She doesn't allow me to wheedle my way out of answering directly either. She doesn't push or act aggressive, she simply rearranges the question (s) until I give her the "real" answer.
Wendy is very responsive, caring, and helpful. I am so glad I was rematched with her. My relationship with Christ is important and she understands that aspect. Highly recommended.
Wendy is not only very good and extremely talented at what she does, but also is the most considerate, compassionate, and understanding counselor I have ever had. And I love the way she integrates both the Biblical and Professional aspects, devotionals with sound professional advice and mentoring. Her insights are encouraging and helpful and I would recommend her to anyone who is looking for a kind, caring, yet talented professional.
I wish I'd known Wendy before I started thinking about marriage. Wendy put me at ease from the beginning of our counseling. Part of what I do for a living is listen to people and help them sort through what's most important to them... I need to understand those people's hearts. Even though I listen to other people, I'm not used to people doing that for me. It's startling. It's healing. And because Wendy comes from the same belief system I do, I can trust her advice on a level that I couldn't trust anyone else's. I know that not only does she have my physical, mental, and emotional well-being in mind... she also has my spiritual well-being in mind.
If you're afraid of counseling, Wendy is someone you can trust. And she's extremely insightful and experienced. I feel much less confused than I used to about how to best handle certain relationship situations. Can't say enough good things about Wendy's work!
Wendy is very helpful and encouraging. She offers good advice, and seems to genuinely care. She always responds in a timely manner, which is a credit to her profession. I would highly recommend her to anyone seeking guidance.
